It will help, but right now jobs in the various construction fields are few and far between because the economy is down and no one’s building. An HVAC company might be able to stay busy with service calls, but that’s about it!
Edit- worker, that’s no fair comparing your field training to your wife’s college training! People who know the business would almost always choose hands- on experience over book knowledge! You oughta be ashamed!
Also, I realized that different areas might experience different effects of the cruddy economy. I imagine that in densely populated areas like Los Angeles, there probably hasn’t been much building going on in a while, so service work is probably the majority of HVAC work there. Here, there’s plenty of space, but no one’s building! Then again, not everyone is in a big rush to move to this part of the country!
By the way, worker- you hiring?
No, you’ll have to actively go out and find a job. The degree is just proof that you know a bit about it.
With your classic good looks and biting whit, you are a shoe in for any Job you choose.
Not Really !
LOL
It would imply that you knew what you were doing, you still have to show that you do know what you are doing.
EDIT: Generally the Building Trades are of a certain sort !
Pretty rough around the edges sometimes and overly competitive !
My wife is a College trained Journeyman Electrician and I am a field trained Master Electrician.
It’s much easier for me to find work.
