between $5000 and $10,000, depending on where you live and what you buy.

Just call 911 and it will be free..!!

Depending on your system, gas or oil; bet: $5000.00 & 9000.00

if your looking to up grade the system 3500-6000 since the duct work is there more if you go with a higher seer on the air and if you go with a 90 plus but that should be a good ball park call around and get different quotes make sure you compair a apple to apple unit ,size, make, seer, btu out put

I’D GUESS 7K BUT THAT IS A GUESS. YOU NEED AT LEAST 3 BIDS ON THAT FROM COMPANIES IN YOUR AREA. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THEM BIDDING ON EQUIVALENT SYSTEMS. EACH COMPANY PRICING 2 AT LEAST 2 DIFFERENT SEERS SO YOU WILL SEE YOUR OPTIONS AND IT SHOULD GIVE YOU AN EYE OPENER. BE SURE YOU FIGURE IN THE FED AND LOCAL COSTS AND CREDITS INVOLVED. DON’T SIGN UP TOO QUICK, TAKE AN EXTRA DAY OR TWO. DON’T FALL FOR THE “SIGN NOW” DISCOUNTS. DEAL WITH A COMPANY WHO HAS BEEN AROUND FOR AWHILE. CHECK THE PHONE BOOK FOR COUPONS TO THROW INTO THE FINAL NEGOTIATIONS. PAY BY CREDIT CARD MIGHT BE GOOD, MIGHT MATTER. GO BY BTU OUTPUT WHEN COMPARING SIZING. IF YOUR OLD BTU’S WERE GOOD THEN YOU DON’T NEED TO PAY TO RUN A MANUAL J. ANYBODY CAN DO A GOOD JOB IF YOU PAY A LOT OF MONEY BUT SEE IF YOU CAN GET A GOOD JOB AT A GOOD PRICE. IF YOU GET TOO GOOD A PRICE, THAT CHEAP DUCT TAPE MIGHT END UP FALLING OFF IN A YEAR OR SOME OTHER PROBLEM
THE BIG ENERGY LOSERS IN MOST CASES ARE OLD DUCTWORK THAT HAS THIN INSULATION AND OLD SINGLE PANE WINDOWS. YOU MAY WANT TO LOOK INTO BETTERING ONE OR BOTH. OLDER HOMES MAY HAVE HAD HALF OR ONE INCH THICK INSULATION ON THE DUCT PIPE. THAT COULD BE REPLACED WITH THE NOW COMMONLY AVAILABLE 2 INCH FLEX DUCT AT A REASONABLE PRICE. WINDOW INSTALLED PRICING IS ALL OVER THE PLACE AS IS CONDITIONED AIR PRICING BECAUSE EVERY JOB IS DIFFERENT, IT IS NOT LIKE YOU ARE BUYING A CAR.

We spent $6,000 on a Trane High Efficiency Furnace (90% Efficient 2 stage) and Trane 14 SEER Air Conditioner for our 1500 sq. ft home.

when you check prices compare seer ratings and warranties…a 13 SEER trane is cheaper than a 15 SEER rheem but it doesnt have near the warranty and will cost more to operate

If your not replacing any ductwork, you can figure tonage or a good estimate would be 600sq ft per 1 ton of cooling. From there it should be easy to price units.
