How much to install an air and heating system in basement?

I plan on finishing my basement (850 sf) and need to know the average price to install a heating and air conditioning unit. Also, are there any cheaper alternatives?

   1700.00 in ga. per ton you might need 2 tons depending what you are gonig to do in the rooms

   Well I don’t know if you need to worry about the A/C part but the furnace and duct-work would be between $4000 - 5000.00 in Minnesota. A/C can be added at anytime as long as routing refrigerant lines to the furnace area is accessible.
   For central A/C you could add another$2000.00
   You could save some money by doing it yourself but you might end up with a poorly designed system.
