L C asked: I have central air in my new construction condo and while the heating works fine, I recently flipped the fuse switch that powers the air conditioning. However, I can’t seem to get any cool air blowing out. I was wondering if it takes a couple of days for it to ‘charge up’ before I start to notice any difference.

cjdavis502003 asked: I recently installed a new thermostat for my central heating & air system. While installing a new thermostat for the system, I accidentally crossed one of the connector wires with one of the other wires that connects to the thermostat and I damaged something in the air handler that controls the air coming in from the compressor or heat pump. Now I get continuous heat and no air conditioning at all. In order to get heat into my home, I have to flip the circuit breaker switch to turn it off and on. The thermostat has no control at all. I believe there is nothing wrong with my thermostat, rather there is something wrong with my air handler for the system. What could be my problem ?

k_dogg asked: My friends have a 2000 Ford Taurus. They have not had heat for a while now. They have changed the thermostat, flushed the heater core and they know that everything is going through the heater core properly. I have the suspicion that the temperature control door inside the heater/air-conditioning box is stuck to the A/C setting. Does anyone know how to manually adjust this to make it be on the heat setting?

Delvala asked: The filter in my air conditioning/heating unit (in my apartment) is extremely dirty. Maintenance is supposed to come and change them once a month, but I guess they haven’t gotten around to it this month. I plan on getting a new one soon, but I’m wondering - is it possible to clean them somehow, until I get a new one?
I’ve noticed that since it has been dirty, the system is much louder (running the heat OR the a/c). Could this be due to the dirty filter, or may there be something else wrong with the system?
