Can you clean a dirty air filter?
Thursday, March 19th, 2009Delvala asked:
The filter in my air conditioning/heating unit (in my apartment) is extremely dirty. Maintenance is supposed to come and change them once a month, but I guess they haven’t gotten around to it this month. I plan on getting a new one soon, but I’m wondering - is it possible to clean them somehow, until I get a new one?
I’ve noticed that since it has been dirty, the system is much louder (running the heat OR the a/c). Could this be due to the dirty filter, or may there be something else wrong with the system?

Is a heat pump as efficient as centrail air conditioning?
Friday, March 13th, 2009s m asked:
We live in Missouri and have an AC unit and furnace - we’re considering a heat pump unit instead - the house is approx. 2500 sq. feet with a main living level and basement. Will we be able to keep the house comfortable - around 75 degrees all year - with the heat pump?

How would I remove a lose piece of paper from one of the passenger AC/Heating vent in my 1999 Ford Taurus?
Tuesday, March 3rd, 2009Wolverine21 asked:
There is a lose piece of paper caught in one of the passenger Air Conditioning/Heating vents of my 1999 Ford Taurus. How would I go about removing that piece of paper? I heard that I could pop the vent cover off and then put it back on without breaking it? How would I do that? I don’t see anyway to pop the vent cover off and then put it back on without breaking it? Is there a way to do that?

How else would I go about getting that piece of paper removed that seems to be caught on the inside?
Is it very important that I remove it to prevent something from breaking?
